More specifically, I am someone who sparks and supports change in people’s lives and relationships.

Positive. Empowering. Compassionate. Professional.

my core values

I help clients who want to be in satisfying, loving and enjoyable relationships, but who feel that they’ve lost the connection they used to have.

Couples who want to have fun, but have forgotten how to play with each other.

Clients who want to bring back their sex life which disappeared after kids.

Through my experience of working with couples and individuals in mental health services over the last 15 years, I’ve built up a solid understanding of the most effective ways to bring about long lasting change to your relationships. And time after time, I’ve seen my clients make incredible improvements. I have developed a ‘top down/bottom up’ approach, where we will explore your personal history and make sense of how you got to this point, while also providing direct guidance and exercises for you to practice at home so you feel you’re making progress straight away.

Since I launched my counselling practise in 2019, I’ve spent hundreds of hours helping individuals and couples with relationship, intimacy and communication difficulties in the Hampshire area and across the UK. In 2022 I have expanded to offering an online workshop and one off guidance sessions, and also represent HiPP Organic as their UK Relationships Expert, supporting couples from pregnancy into parenthood.

I have been worked in the counselling and psychology fields since 2007, including in the NHS, HM Prison Service and for the national relationships charity, Relate. I have also worked as a School Counsellor in a secondary school with young people experiencing emotional and psychological difficulties. I am also experienced in providing an expert opinion in the media, including interviews with ITV Meridian and Closer magazine.

My training is in psychodynamic, CBT and systemic therapies, and I am currently taking advanced training in Psychosexual Therapy. I use an integrative model when working with clients so I can tailor the sessions to your unique needs. I am particularly passionate about the impact of family life and fertility difficulties on the couple relationship, and also working with psychosexual issues.

Overall I offer a kind, open minded and supportive approach to you where issues can be discussed freely and change can be thought about together.

My Qualifications:

  • BSc Psychology (University of Exeter)
  • PGDip Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Interventions (UCL)
  • Graduate Certificate Theory and Skills of Psychodynamic Couple and Individual Counselling and Psychotherapy (Tavistock Relationships/UEL)
  • Level 5 Diploma Relationship Counselling (Relate)
  • Currently studying Diploma in Integrative Psychosexual Therapy (Centre for Psychosexual Health) – due to complete November 2022
